Fashion's Night Out NYC was like Halloween- except better! All the fashionistas were dressed in their bestis, teetering around the streets of Manhattan- ducking in and out of Chanel (to snatch up the new Jade nail polish!), Prada, Rag and Bone, Betsy Johnson... the list goes on! It was a full night's event organized to promote shopping again and support our much loved designers.
I went with my new crew of fellow fashion bloggers, and we were giddy with all the festivities! I decided to play it "model" cool and wore a short black dress with a great off-center jean jacket I got in a designer sample sale last year in London. The necklace/ bracelet/ head ornament was a sweet touch to take my fashion outfit up a notch. And of course, I finished it all off with a great pair of Mui Mui shoes and a Balanciaga bag- a girl's gotta indulge and show her gems just a little... hehe.
For the full itinerary for Fashion's Night Out read my post on my blog: http://www.gretaguide.com ;)
Today I went to the winner of Project Runway, Rodny Epperson's fashion show. I knew the crowd would be young and edgy- so I pulled out all the stops, over-the-knee boots and my new fur vest!
Snuck in the tee from Fashion's Night Out too. ;) I feel like the whole thing balanced out with my cut off and rolled jean shorts. Final touches were the my designer bag and sunglasses. Tehe.
It is that time of year when you have to dress for both hot and cold in one day- so a sheer top with ripped jeans allows for that necessary ventilation when the sun is out, yet gives full coverage when the afternoon thunderstorm rolls in.
It is definitely fall. Chilly winds blow and the leather jacket comes back out! :) Actually, fall is one of my favorite times, because I am all about the layers. This outfit reminds me of walking the streets of East London- leggings, leather and neon! Who could ask for anything more? ;)
It is a precarious time of year- one day it feels like winter and the next it is summer again! For a nice day out walking in the Meatpacking District with friends from out of town, this outfit was perfect. I have actually worn out these Calvin Klein flats walking all over- they are so comfortable!
