Where: Work Why: Just got these jeans at a mega sale. Feeling so very 1970s today. Taking it easy.
Where: Work Why: Just got these jeans at a mega sale. Feeling so very 1970s today. Taking it easy.
Where: office Why: Sometimes people read this blog and think I have the hugest closest with endless combinations and that I “never wear the same thing twice. Well, that’s absolutely not true. I love these jeans and I just wore them last week. The top? Wore it out on Saturday night. If you like something and it makes you feel good, wear it as often as you like. At some point repetition makes me not like an item, so I just put it on hold for a while. For this look I just put together two things I love and hopefully I have a lovely day. :)
Where: work work work Why: The best part of doing projects (like overdying and tie dying your clothes) is getting to wear something new that was virtually free! This tie dye top is a reincarnation of a gift I got ages ago. I feel so hippie chic with my high waisted jeans, braided leather belt and brown sandals. Love in, anyone?
Where: just working Why: Zoinks! I am so so sleepy today. Its always nice to have some no effort duds waiting in the side lines for these moments. Today I feel like 1970s good girl experimenting with hippie chic.
Where: just working Why: Every morning I wake up with some sort of agenda to getting ready. I think to myself what character I want/need to play for the day. Could be sexy, professional, fun, sporty, or in today’s case— Comfortable. I also feel very Three’s Company this morning too.
Where: Work: Why: After watching the debate last night, I felt really political and feel the need to start dressing the part more often leading up until the election. I started to make myself an Obama tee shirt (the one I ordered is on backorder) but thought I can look patriotic without screaming everyday. So I’m wearing this scarf in honor of being an American and plus I love it. Ya know, my fashion explainations aren’t always the best, but when you feel it, you’ve gotta go with it. The wide leg jeans give the look a 70’s vibe and its about time I re-watch Love Story. Today I am also crossing the taboo by wearing navy and black together.
Where: Working Why: I’ve been watching a lot of old Woody Allen movies lately, and I was going to credit this inspiration to him, but that’s who ha! Its Diane Keaton that’s been rocking my world. I just love those movies with that intellectual/pyscho banter. Ah. So wonderful. And a lot of you have been kind enough to write in and say you like photos of the “everyday†look. I think this is the first time I’ve worn jeans to work in… a while. For me everyday usually means skirts and tights. To me, skirts don’t mean you’re “Dressed up†and jeans don’t necessarily mean “dressed downâ€. Its about the look. So today I’m looking like an extra in Annie Hall.
