This photo was taken after the first major snowfall this year. For the most part, it was a pretty mild winter, and this was actually a fairly warm day! There was a lot of snow, but temps were in the sixties. My favorite long cardigan and fingerless gloves kept me just warm enough.

Can you tell these are my favorite boots? They certainly get a lot of play in my wardrobe. Bonus: they were a total steal. :)

Inspired by Isla Fisher in "Confessions of a Shopaholic." :)

This look is a tad inspired by Alexander Wang.

It's June but completely freezing outside. I dressed in my favorite autumn layers; let's just call it "pre-fall."

Rain, rain, rain. It's supposed to be warm and sunny! Oh, well. I always welcome an excuse to sport my favorite khaki trench.

I wore this to play in the woods.

I bought this tunic two years ago for $10, and I've gotten so much use out it. It looks best with black leggings and heels, but I've also paired it with opaque grey tights and ballet flats. I'd like to mix it up with an oversize boyfriend blazer and the perfect red flats (two basics I'm forever searching for).

My own little sanctuary.

Why in the name of summertime am I wearing so many layers? In August? Because it's New England, baby, and the weather can masquerade as all four seasons in a single day (you may laugh, but I've seen it happen!). I was surprised when this day went from warm with a cool breeze to freezing cold and rain to hot and sunny, but then it's Boston-- nothing should surprise me anymore.

The Back Bay is easily my favorite Boston neighborhood. I just love the sunflower garden growing amidst all the brick. :)
