Gettin' Warmer
I’m kind of loving my sad little faux Givenchys. I’ve been wanting a new pair of flat-ish sandals and haven’t been too enthused about many, until now. I don’t even mind the bizarre half heel as much as I would have thought.

I'm not sure what summer days were like before I had a long, comfy skirt like this one, but I'm pretty sure they were missing something. I think I might be living in this skirt this summer, for serious.
I love how soft this top is. Kind of fun to play with it by adding it to something simple I suppose…
Lately, I've been rocking the leggings quite a bit, because I refuse to wear anything else on long car rides. This usually ends up making for some interesting color combinations when I precariously throw something comfy on top and hope for the best...
B and I have been meaning to check out the Glover Park Cemetery for a while now and this weekend we finally got our act together and did it. I always like to visit old cemeteries. I think they're so beautiful and peaceful. Think I'm weird? I probably am.

Sooo hot on Sunday. B and I braved the Georgetown Flea Market and I got this tiny little cowboy boot pendant (slightly visible above) and a sweet pair of vintage sunglasses I'll have to photograph soon. This tank was included with a Topshop order a while ago and it didn't really fit quite right. The scissors solved that. More to see on my blog :-)
This weekend I... ...consumed more fabulous wines than I can wrap my mind around. ...went swimming in the cleanest pond I've ever come into contact with. ...fell in love with upstate NY weather (in the summer). ...went water skiing/tubing and managed to not injure myself (too badly). ...discovered that water tubing is much more entertaining when you wipe out (badly). ...accumulated more bruises than I ever thought possible. ...reaffirmed that I want a dog. ...consumed an absurd amount of food. ...learned that my friend got a cat from the "Lollypop Farm" and it wasn't imaginary. How was your weekend? As frightened as I am that summer is coming to a close? more on my blog: www.districtofchic.com
