I really should have tried harder. I cannot stand this wimpy inbetween weather. Lets pump it up to 60 already so I can flash some bare legs. I am sick of wearing tights. Today these do not match. Navy with a black outfit. A big “no no� in the world of color matching. Hmmm. Don’t Care. looks cool with green.
Where: just work Why: Last night my friends and I were talking about little girls who have pet bats and this morning it must have rubbed off on me because I’m totally playing the part of a modern Wednesday Adams (and hey! its Wednesday!). My dress yesterday was fitted so near the end of the day I was a bit uncomfortable. Today its an easy knit dress with one of my over dye project tops and flats.
Where: office Why: These transition weeks between summer and fall are a little hard for me. Luckily, this little black dress (really a last resort dress) works whenever I can’t figure anything out. Keeping it really minimal with no big jewelry and a summer scarf. Its always good to have one dress/look in the back of your closet (probably something simple) that you can throw on when you really don’t care but still want to be polished. I used to wear this dress twice a week.
Where: Work Why: OMG! I tried on so many things this morning and finally left in what you see above. I’m not thrilled, but also not too disappointed. When I see my reflection walking down the street I think I look chic! And its all about what YOU think about yourself. So I feel pretty and pretty good. I’m also pumped these photos came out so bright with only teeny level adjustments. I don’t know what I did differently, but must repeat until we can get back outside again. I’m having a lovely day. About mid day Sunday, after having already run, showered and completed my chores/errands, I thought it would be nice to go to the park and sketch for a while. Adam decided to join me. Just a simple day outside. Just a simple black jersey dress that can’t really get dirty. A note on this dress- I saw it in In Style and had to have it. My mom has the same one!
