Because colored denim is fresh! I am loving purple and green for summer/spring. These are on loan from the office. When doing something reallybold keep your other elements rather neutral. Like a crazy printed blouse. You’re sensing the sarcasm. Right?
No matter how you mix it up, just don’t get delusional and think you’re rainbow bright. Keep your colorcard minimal.

here, now (work)
Why:
There’s no science to this look at all. Wanted to wear black (instead of blue) jeans. Needed a belt. Wanted to be a little rock n roll. Secretary top doesn’t really scream CBGBs, so I threw on the jacket (and its a good thing, I’ve been chilly all day). And then some shades and a scarf and I’m out the door. Also left my camera on B&W by accident so no technicolor today.

Why:
These transition weeks between summer and fall are a little hard for me. Luckily, this little black dress (really a last resort dress) works whenever I can’t figure anything out. Keeping it really minimal with no big jewelry and a summer scarf. Its always good to have one dress/look in the back of your closet (probably something simple) that you can throw on when you really don’t care but still want to be polished. I used to wear this dress twice a week.

Why:
After Monday night’s red eye I am still really exhausted. Also gearing up for a week long trip to Hong Kong (leaving tomorrow) and am so busy at work prepping for it. So comfort is the name of the game. That’s all I can give ya.

Why:
This weekend I did a roadtrip to Pittsburgh, PA for a wedding, but made some time to visit The Warhol Museum featuring over 500 pieces of the artist’s work. I’m not a fan of cheesey souvenirs, but musuem shops are better than the rest. I couldn’t help picking up these “Jackie†shades, Edie Sedgwick screen printed tee, a book and a magnet. A short skirt and flats add to the 60s vibe. And reddish orange tights? Why not!
