This is probably my favorite thing I've ever bought from H&M. It makes any outfit instantly more interesting!
I'm such a fan of two-tone footwear, it's not even funny. I recently got these shoes from Solestruck and they inspired me to dress all Blair-Waldorf-like. Interestingly enough, more than one of my male friends complemented me on them - no idea what that means, but it thought I'd share anyway.
I guess this would be the "night" half of a day-to-night look from Saturday (day half seen here: http://www.districtofchic.com/2009/09/if-it-werent-for-double-standards-i.html ). I liked the fancy feel of the top, so it wasn't too difficult to dress it up for going out. Hmm... I kind of wish I had something exciting to tell you, like "I saw Karl Lagerfeld riding the metro and neither of us had a pen with which he could autograph my forehead, so he gave me one of his rings instead," but that would that would be a untrue. So looking at these pictures gave me a whole new perspective on this Christopher Kane for Topshop purse. It really reminds me of one of those bags traditionally worn with a kilt (Wikipedia tells me this is called a sporran). Anyway, I didn't have any particular direction when I put this outfit together, but I kind of like the Western/Victorian/Gothic vibe that I ended up with. Oh and I finally remembered to get a close-up of the locket thing that I wear all the time. Another thought: I was less than thrilled about the belt that came with these shorts when I first bought them. I'm glad I gave them a second chance. www.districtofchic.com
