The Slooow Train

Preparing to brave the cold.
This is my superhero shawl
These are all of my favorite pieces combined into one!
it was really nice to get out of the house, finally and not have to be totally bundled up.
This is probably my favorite thing I've ever bought from H&M. It makes any outfit instantly more interesting!
I'm obsessed with my new leggings! I think they make my legs look like Sally's from Nightmare Before Christmas. To top it all off, Costume Department was so nice and sent me another pair of leggings since they had to ship these late (they were at Paris Fashion Week).
I've been pretty obsessed with the black and gold color combo as of late. And I'm most excited about my new badass leather skirt - definitely going to be making it's way through regular rotation.
I took forever DIY-ing these jeans, but I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I really wanted to get the cloudy effect of the Balmain jeans I've seen, so I used rag dipped in high efficiency bleach to get more variations of color.
So I'll get to the point: the boots and leggings are old, the boot bling is from a neato western store B and I stopped at last weekend, and the top is from the Weardrobe Closet. It's a great opportunity to "try it before you buy it" and I think I might be needing one of these tops in gray...
Close-up of my new boot bling :-)
I love this UO shirt from Weardrobe Closet so damn much! It's just so soft and drapey...

Seeing a theme here? I wasn’t lying when I said I’m all about the country western influences right now. I guess you could also say this is a homage to Kate Moss, circa 2006.

This outfit is from Wednesday, when a night of high-end beer sampling turned into a slightly longer night than usual. I'm so stoked about how these DIY shorts turned out. Recently discovered the seam ripper makes these DIYs SO much easier. A few slits + a run in the washer and magic is made. More on my blog: www.districtofchic.com
