It's getting colder, which is exciting, because I was getting to the point where I was at a loss for what warm-weather-Fall clothes to wear. I have more sweaters than any one person living below the Mason-Dixon line should have, but that did not stop me from buying another one at H&M. It's made of one of those wonderful mystery synthetic blends that doesn't itch and never seems to pill. Not taking it off until April. More on my blog www.districtofchic.com

This coat might be my favorite thrift store find to date. I plucked it absent-mindedly off the rack, simply because I was intrigued by the print, but it wasn't until I tried it on and saw the artfully pleated shoulders that I knew I had to take this baby home. The mobster-like double-breasted cut didn't hurt either. Did I mention it was $25? These photos are from last weekend, but I wanted to share them anyway. Visiting wineries is fast becoming a theme on this blog. This time we visited La Grange (our favorite of the day), Barrel Oak, Philip Carter, and Aspen Dale Winery at the Barn. All were picturesque and the weather could not have been better (for this time of year). Pastels seemed appropriate. www.districtofchic.com
