I greeted Indian Summer from Central Park in a crochet minidress & a red jacket with a fur collar. The dress' hem length approaches Edie Sedgwick-heights (one of my style icons) but is respectable with flats; Marc by Marc Jacobs produces a variation of these mouse shoes nearly every season. The Grotto in Portland is sort of a hidden gem, a weird foresty religious sanctuary with lots of statues and beautiful plants. It is really relaxing and mellow, I love all the plants! This dress has an amazing folklore-inspired print with weird deer-like animals on it, it's basically a perfect print. I love it.
i fell in love with this elizabeth & james draped skirt when i saw it on the hanger. when i put it on, the sales associate at the store tried her best to talk me out of buying it in this size and color, saying it was washing me out, was not flattering, sat too far below my waist, etc. etc. i bought it anyway, and while i agree it is not the most flattering thing on me, sometimes i just want to wear a thing that i love on the hanger. oh well. theowlsarenotwhattheyseem.tumblr.com
It was hot and I was drinking iced tea, of course. This was the day after I got my new SLR (Canon of COURSE), and my sister wouldn't stop taking "paparazzi" photos of me. I think that's what she secretly wants to be, a paparazzo. I got her to stop walking for like two seconds to snap this one, which is why my facial expression is gross. Oh well.
I wore this to the greatest estate sales EVER on Saturday morning. I made some really amazing finds and I've decided to give something away! HOORAY, a GIVEAWAY! If you love vintage stuff you may wanna check it out... www.athoughtistheblossom.blogspot.com
